Lisa has served as a practitioner, regional manager, vice president, consultant, compliance director and education specialist. She has lectured at the state and national level with over 400 interprofessional healthcare continued education courses and is currently Director of Research and Program Development for Regency IHS and owner of Milliken Healthcare Consulting.
Lisa is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, where she serves as State Advocate for Medicare Policy for Texas. She is President of the Texas Speech-Language and Hearing Association for 2024-25, is President-Elect of the Council of State Association Presidents and a Distinguished Fellow of Public Policy for the National Academies of Practice (NAP). She is also Chair -Elect of the NAP SLP Academy, a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer (CADDCT), and the author of her book, Resiliency: Rising Above Life’s Challenges. She enjoys volunteering with community programs in the Houston area to support caregivers of family members living with multiple disorders.
